Skin Diet

It is important to take care of your skin for many reasons. Since we are talking about acne, here are some things you can do to take care of your skin to help control acne breakouts.

Eat wholesome foods.

Fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds. Choose organic foods whenever possible. Eat foods in their raw form, cooking often destroys many of the required nutrients and enzymes essential for digestion and absorption.

Drink plenty of water.

Drinking at least 8-10, 8 oz. glasses of water a day will help to flush out the toxins from your system, thereby reducing acne breakouts. Drinking lots of water will help keep your skin hydrated and will eliminate dry and flaky skin that can occur causing pores to become blocked which can cause spots to form.

Exercise.

Increasing the blood flow to the skin and providing oxygen to the cells can help reduce acne.

Hygiene.

Shower soon after exercising to wash away the sweat so there is no chance that bacteria can start to grow.

Vitamins.

Vitamins such as, Vitamin A, E, B-2, B-3 and Zinc are known to help with maintaining clear skin.

Fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds. Choose organic foods whenever possible.
