History

In the 16th century the Arabs used coral and this is the first documented medicinal use.

In 1685, the oldest pharmacy in Spain was built and is now part of a museum that displays a container of "ground up" coral with the inscription "The blond coral is the only coral used for medicine" and further states that the coral has a beneficial effect upon the heart and elevates the mood of the person taking it.

In more recent times, the Okinawans who live in the southern coral islands of Japan, are the most talked about people who have been using coral calcium for years.

Their average life expectancy is 105 years while mainland Japan is just 77 years.

The islands are made of coral reefs which are mainly calcium. This allows the Okinawans to have unlimited access to the pure calcium of the coral.
Over 500 years ago the Okinawans fed coral sand, that is produced from the weathering of the reefs, to the chickens and cows resulting in twice as many eggs and milk. Also, when the coral sand was used as fertilizer they found that the crops increased by as much as three fold.

When the Okinawans finally, 500 years ago, began to consume the coral sand themselves, all of the under utilized doctors were forced to leave the islands. This was known in Japanese history as the Japanese Exodus.

Today, coral calcium is being used worldwide to assist people to increase their health and vitality.
